This home in Amberley takes a simple, practical approach to contemporary design, with traditional gabled roof forms given a modern finish through clean detailing, vertical cladding and dark aluminium joinery. Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is bright and spacious, with a raked ceiling adding volume and large areas of glazing bringing in plenty of natural light. The main living spaces open directly onto the deck and backyard, creating an easy connection between indoors and out. The result is a comfortable, understated home that feels modern without trying too hard, designed around everyday family living, natural light and a strong connection to the outdoors.
